]]> http://martinshears.com/news.html#20 Singer songwriter guitar bass piano keyboard classic rock modern pop acoustic - Martin Shears - News What's Up In May? http://martinshears.com/news.html#40 Spring time is in full effect.  The birds are singing the flowers are blooming and I am gearing up for the busy summer schedule to come.  On Friday the 4th I will play my last gig at Plaza Linda in Carmel Valley Village.  The good folks there were not able to renegotiate their lease so sadly one of my favorite places to play will close at the end of the month.  I have played there every first Friday for several months now and it has built into a great night of fun and audience participation.  Please try to come to the last Plaza Linda show if you can.


I will also be entering a new venue at the Cannery Row Brewing Company on the following Thursdays in May: 5/3, 5/17, & 5/31.  These will be happy hour shows from 4PM to 7PM.  Please try to come out and support me there as I would love to cultivate another good live music venue.


Ike & Martin will be playing mostly private shows in May but we are performing for the "Deck Opening Party" at Sunnyside in Tahoe City on May 25th from 3PM to 8PM  This yearly event kicks off the summer season with lots of cool boats on Lake Tahoe that pull right up to the deck and straight to the party.  Who else could play that long a gig but I&M?
